Saturday 29th December. Midnight!
We’re here at last!!! Yes! 🙂 We arrived in Muscat this evening for our holiday! Tomorrow we’re getting up early and visiting Al-Qurum park. Then we’re going to a famous art gallery. Sightseeing is tiring, so I’m going to bed. 😴 Goodnight!

Al-Qurum park was lovely! There was a lake and children’s play area. The art gallery was interesting, too, but there were so many paintings and I was a bit tired. We’re spending the afternoon at the aquarium and this evening we’re going to the cinema.

My Muscat diary
Saturday 29th December. Midnight!
We’re here at last!!! Yes! We arrived in Muscat this evening for our holiday! Tomorrow we’re getting up early and visiting Al-Qurum park. Then we’re going to a famous art gallery. Sightseeing is tiring, so I’m going to bed. Goodnight!
Sunday 30th December. Lunch time
We’re back at the hotel for lunch. Al-Qurum park was lovely! There was a lake and children’s play area. The art gallery was interesting, too, but there were so many paintings and I was a bit tired. We’re spending the afternoon at the aquarium and this evening we’re going to the cinema.
Monday 31st December. 9 p.m.
Oops! I didn’t write my diary last night. I was too tired and we’ve only been here for two days! The aquarium was fantastic yesterday! I loved the turtles. Today, we went to the National Museum and a planetarium. We learned a lot about the planets! We aren’t going out tonight because we’re shopping at Muscat’s biggest shopping mall tomorrow and we don’t want to be tired. Then we’re having lunch. In the evening, we’re watching a show at the Royal Opera House. Dad has had the tickets since September! Mum has wanted to see a show there for years. She’s so excited.
Tuesday 1st January. Midnight
We’re so tired today! We loved shopping in the big mall! And this evening, it was so dark and comfortable in the Royal Opera House. The show was great. We took a taxi back to the hotel. Suddenly, I heard my little sister snoring! I was so embarrassed. Then my little brother joined in! They were both sleeping all the way back! We’re flying home to Khasab tomorrow … and I think I’ll be asleep on the plane!

-ed and -ing adjectives
Some adjectives have two forms, ending with -ed and -ing. The -ed form describes how we feel. The -ing form describes a thing that makes us feel that way.
